Election Day is finally here. These midterm elections are one of the most important in recent memory and it is critical that every registered voter, VOTE!
Why are these elections so important?
Three big things to know before you vote:
1. Know what’s on your ballot by checking out november4th.
2. Know what to do if you come across a voting issue at your polling place. Any voter in any state can call the ALCU Election Protection Hotline
3. Know when you can vote. Many, but not all, states allow you to leave work to vote including paid time. (List here). Also, it’s important to know how long your poll is open. Here is a handy map of poll closing times for the Nov. 4, general elections (From the Daily Kos) so that you can know when to start checking returns in each state on election night. Note that all times are Eastern, not local.

(Also don’t forget if you live in Texas, you will need to show proper ID to vote now!)
So don’t forget to vote and remind all your friends and family to do the same. Voting is your civic duty.
VOTE!
